HELLO and How are you? in ‘Tagalog’
My name is Mariel. A qualified nurse, trained beauty therapist, wife and a full-time mum to my two amazing children, Daisy and Tommy.
And oh, did I mention that I’m also a self-taught baker by passion who loves cooking?
Since I was a young child, I dreamed to have my own cake and catering business venture.
It all started with my love of mixing and matching food and art to create an exquisite, creative and authentic display.
I used to watch my mama, as well as our neighbour, bake beautiful cakes and kakanin (Filipino delicacies).
And how they create a bare table into a “mouth-watering” detailed banquet of feast!
This made me feel GRAZY-IN-LOVE in experimenting and inventing food combined with art.
Over the years, I continue to search for the perfect “bite”, improve, and develop my own style and technique.
It started out as a hobby of creating something out of what we have in our cupboards..
Baking goodies and prepping great-tasting and great-looking food for my family..
Has then been extended to friends who would always ask me to bake their own cake or prep their own banquet..
Then word of mouth just spread out even wider!
Friends of friends asking for more and people I don’t even know just ringing my phone wanting their own piece of edible art!
So I thought “This is it! Let me make my childhood dream come true!”
